Today some slides from microsoft has stunned lots of Linux and windows users. As in these Slides microsoft directly targets Linux and trying to prove that Windows 7 is better than linux.Well this is an old and well known dispute between Linux and Windows users that which OS is better.

First of all i am gonna list down some points mentioned in the slides from microsoft and then i will post all the pictures of presentation from Microsoft. In this presentation microsoft has compared windows 7 with Linux.

Microsoft is trying to prove that Windows 7 is better than Linux by giving the following reasons.

Minimal Software Support

Microsoft says that most of the softwares are compatible with windows 7 and easy to install in just one click. On the other hand Linux has minimal software support(e.g. iTunes and Adobe Photoshop cannot be run on linux)

Easy User Interface

We all know that windows has much easier interface as compare to linux and microsoft is also saying the same thing that users donot have to relearn anything.

Minimal Hardware Support

In the digital life of today we use lots of gadgets everyday(Camera,iPod,Cell Phone) and in windows 7 we have plug an play support for about thousands of hardware which makes our life easy. But in linux we have Minimal Hardware Support.

Support for Gaming

As all of us know that a netbook has very limited resources therefore running windows vista or windows 7 on a netbook is not really a great idea.Although Windows XP can run much better in netbook but if we compare the linux Distributions for Netbooks available (e.g. Ubuntu netbook remix) with windows xp.Then Linux surely beats windows.

Before installing any linux flavor on your netbook you should do some research on the linux distros available.Check out there system requirements as well as their features too. After searching for some hours i have compilled a list of some linux distributions which are customized for netbook and give awesome performance with limited netbook resources.

1) Ubuntu Netbook Remix

Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix, the most feature-rich open platform for netbooks, debuts as a simple download for most popular netbook models .Ubuntu Netbook Remix is optimised to run on a new category of affordable Internet-centric devices called netbooks. It includes a new consumer-friendly interface that allows users to quickly and easily get on-line and use their favourite applications. This interface is optimised for a retail sales environment.

Before some days i wrote a post 12 reasons why windows is better than linux for non-techies and most of the Linux lovers criticized the post and kept on saying that Linux is easy to use OS as compare to Windows. In the light of comments posted by users we can say that Linux is easy to use but most of the surveys show us that Linux still needs to go a long way in order to compete with windows.

In this post i have already mentioned above that linux is still only 1% on desktop computer. So i think linux lovers should accept this fact that windows is better and easy to use OS as compare to linux.

Linux and windows users always keep on saying and writing against each others. But i have noticed while reading different reviews about linux and windows that Linux users are more aggressive as compare to windows users.Linux users don’t wanna listen anything against linux their tolerance level is really low as compare to windows and Mac users.

Is it really true that Linux users more aggressive than windows users ?

Yes it is really true that Linux users more aggressive than windows users. You might also have noticed on several sites and discussion forums that Linux users start using slangs and bad words .I have met lots of linux users and have realized they love Linux too much and don’t wanna listen anything against Linux.Than i started thinking why they love linux soo much ? and why they are too aggressive as compare to windows Users ?

Then after thinking for some time i have reached to a result that the reasons behind my questions can be the following.

- Linux is free and windows is too costly for a home user.

- Linux is open source.

- Linux support is free too.

- According to some linux lovers linux is easy as compare to windows because it has everything for a non techie already installed.

The points i mentioned above is just only what i think and what i have realized after talking about linux with my friends. Please do share your feelings in comments.

Now i am gonna list down some post which says windows is better than linux.

Some day’s ago my friend told me that he installed Fedora 10 in his PC but he dosen’t like it.Because Linux is difficult then Windows. Now he wants to remove Fedora 10 and return to Windows Vista. He also told me that he know how to remove linux drives using Disk Management Utility in Windows Vista but he dosen’t know how to remove Linux Boot (GRUB).I Searched Google to find how to Remove GRUB.While searching on Google i found a very good Software named EasyBCD.

With EasyBCD you can easily remove Linux Boot(GRUB).You can download EasyBCD From Here. After installing Start EasyBCD then Click “Manage BootLoader”.

Now Click “Write MBR” to Restore Windows Vista Boot Loader and you have done.
