No only the design is good but its the first time apple has introduced touch screen in ipod nano, in fact no only touch screen.Its multitouch.Woow! New Ipod nano is 1.48 inches in height and 1.61 inches in widht. Almost equal to ipod shuffle’s old version in size but much more powerful than that.

This new ipod has almost same features as ipod 5G has,  but lacking the camera and it is small in size but it has touchscreen(Multitouch).Some features in new ipod nano are given below.The aren’t really very new for ipod nano, but they are good for a 1.5 inch Device.

Diaspora is a upcoming social networking software, being developed by Daniel Grippi, Maxwell Salzberg, Raphael Sofaer and Ilya Zhitomirskiy. It’s developers are describing it as “The privacy aware, personally controlled, do-it-all, open source social network.”. Many peoples are calling this upcoming software “A Facebook Alternative”. But it may be difficult for Diaspora to become Facebook Alternative because Facebook is number 1 Social networking site and has 500 Million Active Users (July 2010).

Diaspora Team also said that they have pushed back some technical features like plugins and APIs in favor of simple and high value features. But their original goals will remain same, and these features are still in their timeline.

Its developers are saying that they will not stop development after the release and they will continue to develop and maintain Diaspora as a long term project. They also said that they will post another update about 15th September soon.

Based on user’s feedback, and to make Gmail and Contacts easier to use Google has added some new features to contacts and update Gmail Look. If you are using Google Apps, you will not see these updates to Contacts yet. Google is working to make this new version of Contacts available to Google Apps customers too.

Google made the following change in Gmail:
* Mail, Contacts, and Tasks links have moved to the top left of Gmail.
* Compose mail is now a button rather than a link.
* A smaller header area puts the first message in your inbox about 16 pixels higher on the screen.
* The Select All, None, Read, Unread, and Starred links that used to be above your messages are now options in a drop-down menu, next to the Archive button.

Google Added the following new features to contacts:
* Keyboard shortcuts (go to Contacts and hit “?” for the full list)
* Sort by last name (look under “More actions”)
* Custom labels for phone numbers and other fields
* The ability to undo changes you’ve just made
* Automatic saving

Today, Google announced that they don’t have plan to continue development of Google Wave as a standalone product. But Google Promised that they will maintain the site at least through the end of the year. It means that Google Wave has been failed to satisfy it’s Users, now Google has discontinued its development and after the end of the year Google will shutdown Google Wave site.

Google launched Developer Preview of Wave in Google I/O conference on May 27, 2009. On May 19, 2010, Google Wave was released to the general public. Many users tried Google Wave and liked it. But despite numerous loyal fans, Wave has not seen the user adoption Google would have liked. The central parts of the code, as well as the protocols that have driven many of Wave’s innovations, like drag-and-drop and character-by-character live typing, are already available as open source, so customers and partners can continue the innovation.

iPhone Jail Breaking is a method to come out from Apple’s restrictions and install any apps which are not approved by Apple. Apple claims that Jail Breaking is an unauthorized modification of its software. Unless users unlock their handsets, they can only download apps from Apple’s iTunes store. Software developers must get such apps pre-approved by Apple, which sometimes demands changes or rejects programs for what developers say are vague reasons.

Mario Ciabarra, founder of Rock Your Phone, which calls itself an “independent iPhone application store,” said the rules mark the first step toward opening the iPhone app market to competition and removing the “handcuffs” that Apple imposes on developers that want to reach users of the wildly popular device.

Apple spokesman Natalie Kerris said:
“Apple’s goal has always been to ensure that our customers have a great experience with their iPhone, and we know that jailbreaking can severely degrade the experience,” she said.
