Shashi Seth, Senior Vice President of Yahoo! Satya Nadella, Senior Vice President of Microsoft’s Online Services Division, said that they are continuing to migrate to adCenter and “are optimistic about completing this phase later this fall” and hope that the work they are doing on the transition doesn’t affect advertisers over the holiday period.

Finally, Number two and Number three search engines have completed transition and Now Bing has become number two search Engine only behind Google.

Based upon users demand, Yahoo! made some improvements in it’s mail  and added new functionality to provide a better email experience.

* Improved tab management
After you send an email, the send confirmation tab will automatically close after you’ve viewed it getting out of your way. You can still go to your “sent” folder to view any emails that you have sent.

* Applications Box
All of the useful/productive applications you’re used to using have now been nicely organized in the bottom left hand side.

* Refreshed color options
With a fresh look come fresh, new colors! We hope you enjoy them as much as we had fun creating them.

* Select Messages in View
In addition to selecting all of your messages in your Inbox, you can now select just those in your view. Click on the “actions” button and choose “Select Emails in View”.

* Increased font
To improve the readability of email, we’ve optimized the font size.

* Less Advertisement
We’ve removed all the ads on the left hand side of the page.

One of the reason behind this decision can be the huge loss because of the sudden decrease in use of geocities after the arrivals of social networking sites.As social networking sites has made it much easier for users to share their pictures and pages.

After months of beta testing, Yahoo! has official released the final version of Yahoo! Messenger 9.0, which means no more betas!

Just after a week after Microsoft released Windows Live Messenger 9.0, Yahoo releases its popular IM for Windows XP and Vista, and comes packed with many new feaures including the new and improved user-interface.

The most interesting feature that I would like to mention first is the Pingbox, a new application that you can embed into your blog, website or social network page where visitors can IM you anonymously (or they can identify themselves) and you can also reply them back without revealing your Yahoo! ID.

Some days ago I was just cleaning my system(I like to do personally instead of some Software).I Found Hidden Chat History in Yahoo Messenger.Here is the path where you can saw chat history of your messenger.

In Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Setting\Username\Application Data\.purple\logs\yahoo\yahoo user id\Person whom with you talked(his/her user id)\Chat messages in Text files

Where Username is replaced by the screen name you’re using.

If you’re using Vista, the yahoo profiles are in different location:
C:\Users\All Users\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\Archive

C is replaced by Yahoo Messenger Installation Drive.

Remember that Yahoo’s archiving needs to be turned on (it’s off by default) and that also by default YIM will automatically delete messages after 10 days.
