53% Mobile/Tablet users use iOS

Apple iOS is currently the mostly used OS among the Mobile/Tablet users. Approximately 53% Mobile/Tablet users use iOS. After iOS Java ME is the second mostly used OS, Approximatley 20.57% users use Java ME. Android use is 15.98%, Symbian use is 6.21%, BlackBerry use is 3.33% while Windows Mobile and Windows Phone use is 0.34% and 0.22% respectively.

In October 2010, iOS use was 44.34% and now in August 2011 iOS use is 53.04%. So in 11 months iOS use is increased by 8.7%. Apple is working hard to increase the usage of iOS, in this regard they have released iOS 5 beta, that contains many new features. To competate with Apple’s iOS Microsoft is also working Hard. They have released Windows Phone but unfortunately Windows Phone could not meet upto the expectations. Microsoft is also working on Windows 8 (Windows Developer Preview) that contains many new features for Tablets.

Apple iOS 5 may come out of beta this year, but Windows 8 (Windows Developer Preview) is in early stages and it is expected that it will be in beta in late 2012.
