Microsoft Introduces Windows Embedded Compact 7 Tablet
June 3rd, 2010 | by admin |After the launch of Apple ipad, war of Tablets has begun.Giant companies are now keen to introduce their tablets ASAP.Yesterday at Computex Microsoft introduces tablet OS concept.Microsoft is bringing Windows 7 to the tablet, a “compartmentalized version of Windows 7 that can be embedded at the hardware level.”
Windows Embedded Compact 7 will have embedded support for silver light, flash player 10 and a browser (obviously IE).Touchscreen will be multi touch supporting panning and pinch to zoom. This was just a show of how much windows 7 is capable and microsoft is relying on other hardware manufacturers to make tablet devices which can support Windows 7.Microsoft only seems to be supplying the underlying builds that will go out to manufacturers.
