Google will use Homepage Background Images Like Bing

June 3rd, 2010 | by admin |

Today, Google announced in it’s Blog Post that they are introducing a new feature that allows users to you add a favorite photo or image to the background of the Google homepage. Users can choose a photo from computer, or from Picasa Web Album or from a public gallery hosted by Picasa.

Google is working to roll out this feature to users in the U.S. over the next few days. Users outside the U.S., can expect to see this new feature in the coming days as Google roll it out internationally.

Google Said in Blog Post that “Whether you choose a photo of a loved one, a picture of your favorite vacation destination or even a design you created yourself, Google.com is now yours to customize. For those of you who want to enjoy the clean, simple look of Google as well as your personalized view, we’ve made it easy to switch between your customized search page and classic Google. And if you’ve customized your look with a fun personal photo we’d love to see what your new homepage looks like. Tweet a picture of your page with the hashtag #myGooglepage and share it with us!”

Google hopes that users will enjoy this new feature.
