Ubuntu is becoming one of the most popular linux flavor nowadays and Canonical Ltd is speeding up the development of ubuntu with latest releases of ubuntu which has lots of new features and bugs fixes.Recently neowin reported Ubuntu 10.04 beta 1 now available.Although this is still a beta release but has got some really great features which will attract you towards this new beta release.
Some new features in Ubuntu 10.04 beta 1 are mentioned below.
- Latest version of Gnome which has number of great new features and Improved desktop environment.
- includes the 2.6.32-16.25 kernel based on 2.6.32.9.
- Open source driver for nVidia hardware provides hardware accelerated 2D functionality.

- Two new theme,icons and Wallpapers are also added.
As this version is still is beta process so there are number of bugs which has been reported already by ubuntu on their website.It is therefore strongly recomended to don’t install it in a production Server.
If you are in love with this new version of ubuntu and want to install its stable release then the wait won’t be too long.Because stable version will be released on April 29, 2010.Not really to far.
