Top 15 Linux Distributions for Netbooks

As all of us know that a netbook has very limited resources therefore running windows vista or windows 7 on a netbook is not really a great idea.Although Windows XP can run much better in netbook but if we compare the linux Distributions for Netbooks available (e.g. Ubuntu netbook remix) with windows xp.Then Linux surely beats windows.

Before installing any linux flavor on your netbook you should do some research on the linux distros available.Check out there system requirements as well as their features too.After searching for some hours i have compilled a list of some linux distributions which are customized for netbook and give awesome performance with limited netbook resources.

1) Ubuntu Netbook Remix

    I tried Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix on my mom’s netbook using a flash drive and I absolutely loved it. When I get a netbook I am definitely going that route. What I find funny is that this article states that installing Windows 7 on a netbook is a bad idea because I always heard otherwise; that it would be much lighter than Vista, making it possible to run on a netbook effectively. I recently read a blog entry of someone who did install WIndows 7 on his netbook and it was pleasantly surprised how well it ran. That blog entry can be read here:

    I agree with your POV that windows 7 can run much better as compare to windows vista on netbooks but i found these linux flavors much faster then windows 7 on netbooks.

    I have tried to find good reasons to use Linux but only having a few small businesses we still tend to use Microsoft more than any other program
