How to edit boot record in windows vista

You must be wondering and looking for the boot.ini file in windows vista like i was when i installed windows vista with windows XP the master boot record was set to windows vista and i was looking for the boot.ini to edit and make some change but i wasn’t able to find it.

Then i started searching and found that master boot record cannot be edited directly in windows vista.You have two option to edit master boot record in windows vista both the options are given below.

First Method:

> Go to Run and then type msconfig and hit enter.

> You will be greeted with a screen which will have some tabs on it.

> Click on boot tab and setting related to boot record will be shown to you.
