Its always been a tuff time if an application hangs and take the hell most of CPU resources although windows xp and windows vista provides you with the utility like task manager to easily kill the non responsive progams but it has also happened with me when a program take almost 100 % of CPU resources it took lots of time in opening up task manager and then killing the program.
